The beautiful costal resort of Altikum has something for everyone.  It's located only 100kms from Bodrum airport and is one of the little known treasures of the Agean coast.

Altinkum means ‘golden sand’ and the name more than delivers.  Wide beaches of soft, golden sand shelve gently into the sea and are ideal for families.

For daytime sightseeing don’t forget that the splendid ruins of Ephesus are within easy reach for an excursion, or the salt plateaus of Pamukkale, or the the famous house of which Mother Mary spent her last years. For a bit of shopping you can book a trip to the nearby market in Kusadasi.

If you want to stay local the Temple of Apollo at Didyma is a short dolmus ride from the resort. Daily boat trips leave from the docs to take in a little snorkling to see the beautifull fish and marine life, or just spend a relaxing day sunbathing on deck. Altikum has its own fun fair located right next to third beach, with candyfloss, thrills and rides for kids of all ages. There are also local water parks with waterslides for the kids.

For the adults that just want to relax and be pampered there are lots of health spas and traditional Turkish baths to emerse yourself in, or just sit back and lounge on a beach chair.

Turkey is packed full of history and has a rich culture and Altinkum is no exception, there are plenty of restaurants ranging from traditional Turkish cuisine to coffee shops, snack bars, kebap shops and of course beach front pubs...

After dark, Altinkum’s nightlife is generally centred among the lively bars and restaurants along the main seafront promenade. There are even open air discos if you want to let your hair down and party all night.
